On the morning of September 11, 2001, New York National Guard members stood alongside police, firefighters, and other emergency personnel as some of the first responders to the devastating attacks. Over 14,000 NY National Guard members, in cooperation with thousands of U.S. military Reserve members, rushed to Ground Zero to provide critical assistance.Today, we honor their bravery and selflessness.
